  1. The two “huang” herbs (huang qin and huang lian) in this formula are kind of nasty tasting. I think they work better if you taste them, but if you’re sensitive to yucky tastes, it’s probably best to order them in capsules.

    Tasting your herbs is good. Taking them is even better.
