Gui Ban :龜板 deep fried plastrum testudinis Testudinis Plastrum [Pregnancy Note] This herb comes from a very slow-moving, hidden, and hard (shelled) animal. All of these attributes are considered “yin” as are body fluids and cooling mechanisms in the body. That’s why it is in this formula which supports yin fluids.
