Ingredients:

Bo He :薄荷 field mint, mentha Herba Menthae Haplocalycis

  • This herb lifts the effects of the other herbs in this formula to the head, plus is clears up redness in the eyes.

Chuan Xiong :川芎 Sichuan lovage root, cnidium, chuanxiong root Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong

  • Because this herb’s name is in the name of the formula, that denotes that this is the most important herb in the formula. Not necessarily the largest dosage, though.

Qiang Huo :羌活 notopterygium root, chiang-huo Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii

  • This is an herb that is used to clear the head and push out the common cold. The “cold” in Chinese medicine is said to reside just under the skin and so causing a light sweat can push out the cold. This herb focuses on that goal, but it is also good for neck and shoulder aches which commonly arise with the common cold.

This formula can be used to support health with or without symptoms. If symptoms are present, take 1 level teaspoon of the powder (8 capsules) three times daily.
