Ingredients

Da Huang 大黄 rhubarb root and rhizome Radix et Rhizoma Rhei [don’t use if pregnant]

Mang Xiao 芒硝 mirabilite, glauber’s salt Natrii Sulfas [don’t use if pregnant]

  • This is a form of salt that draws fluids into the intestines via osmotic pressure. It’s a science thing that ends up helping to lubricate dry hard stools.

Gan Cao 甘草 licorice root Radix Glycyrrhizae [caution]

  • Licorice root is used to regulate the harsh properties of the other two ingredients in this formula.
