Details of Vagex© for Women

Tao ren (Peach Pit) is great for stimulating microcirculation of blood in the intimate regions.

Intimate rejuvenation for women who want more!

When a woman’s intimate structures get stretched out, there’s less grip, less sensitivity, and a lack of sensual intimacy.

“Vagex” stimulates blood flow through the intimate regions to achieve the goal of nourishing these dried and stretched-out areas of the body. Think of this like moisturizing dry skin to improve its elasticity and tightness.

The formula that we provide for intimate flexibility and grip is based on one often used for scleroderma, an auto-immune condition that results in the hardening of the skin and tissues. While this formula softens the skin and moisturizes local structures, it also contains herbs to guide its affect to the intimate areas.

Bring back that loving feeling, with Vagex!

Note: Avoid use if pregnant. This formula stimulates blood flow, which you don’t want if you’re pregnant. So avoid this formula unless you are being directed by a TCM professional to take it.

Ingredients:
Dan Shen 丹蔘 salvia root Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Salviae miltiorrhizae Radix [caution]

Yi Mu Cao 益母草 Chinese motherwort, leonurus Herba Leonuri Heterophylae, Leonuri Herba

  • Yi Mu Cao keeps the blood moving through the Liver channel which passes through the labia and external genitalia. The Liver channel is where we put acupuncture needles when we want to treat some problems with the external genitalia as well as a some internal issues such as regulating menstrual flow. This herb has benefits for both the internal and external functions of the Liver channel.

Chuan Xiong 川芎 Sichuan lovage root, cnidium, chuanxiong root Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong

Dang Gui 當歸 tangkuei, Chinese angelica root Radix Angelicae Sinensis

  • Dang gui is probably the most famous of all herbs associated with woman’s health. Women benefit from its blood nourishing and circulatory functions. Western medicine looks to hormonal regulation to explain dang gui’s actions.

  1. Note: Avoid use if pregnant. This formula stimulates blood flow, which you don’t want if you’re pregnant. So avoid this formula unless you are being directed by a TCM professional to take it.

Note: this formula is also used to regulate the menstrual flow (same action as above, actually). If you find that your menstrual flow becomes heavy while taking this formula, just stop taking it during your period. Others however will find that cramps improve or other menstrual irregularities become more “regular”.

  2. This formula doesn’t work overnight, though you may notice its effects at night. :) Give this formula anywhere from two weeks to two months to achieve your goals. It’ll work quicker for those who are younger, and take a little longer for those who are older. More at the Prognosis-O-Matic.

Hi Al: I love your website…loads of info, with touches of great humour…just love it! A question: I’m an acupuncturist in BC, Canada. My mom is 86 and has suffered with atrophic vaginitis for years. Have you used Vagex for this problem? Thanks, Anita

  4. Hi, Anita. I haven’t treated A.V. specifically with this formula, but the symptoms line up very well with the treatment principles which are to nourish the blood (addressing dryness) and stimulating micro-circulation (addressing hardness and discomfort). Makes a lot of sense to me, especially if her tongue is pale. If it is deep red, we’re still okay, because some of the blood moving herbs in this formula also clear heat.

You know, in China there is a modern trend that addresses all aging as blood stagnation. Even biomedicine gives baby aspirin to elderly as a preventive for heart disease. Still, much of the benefits of baby aspirin is to address the so-called “inflamaging” which is the theory that inflammatory responses at the level of micro-capillaries is what causes much of what we call the aging process. For this reason, cool or cold blood movers (anti-inflamaging herbs) used as a dietary supplement for the elderly makes a lot of sense.

Only thing I would watch out for is if she is also taking blood thinning drugs. These blood moving herbs might cause too much blood thinning. If she’s only taking some baby aspirin, this formula is okay to take.
