Qing Shu Yi Qi Tang
(Clear Summerheat & Boost the Qi Decoction)

This is a rather complex formula that has been used successfully for menopausal symptoms such as:

  • fatigue
  • rising heat to the face
  • digestive problems of bloating
  • muscle soreness
  • hot flashes
  • weight gain
  • water retention
  • “slow metabolism”
  • loss of sex drive

In Chinese medicine terms this is diagnosed as spleen qi deficiency, kidney yang deficiency with damp.

This formula was originally created for “summer heat” by Li Dong-Yuan in 1249 in his famous book: Pi Wei Lun (Treatise on the Spleen & Stomach).
