Eagleherbs has always been profitable but not super-profitable compared to the work it takes us to keep it going. We believe in providing the lowest prices we can without resorting to “special coupons” etc… and other tricks. Generally, we offer better prices for bigger orders.
But our costs are going up and so are our prices. We’ve been resisting as much as possible.
First: The always reliable USPS “flat rate” is no longer flat rate. Most areas are now $10 or over.

The shipping is now a flat $12. Even then some shipping is slightly above that but we can absorb that. *
SECOND: And there is the herbs we use. 8 years ago, we got hit with a 15% tariff and we and the Eagleherb’s distributor absorbed much of that with slight increases. Then COVID and the prices for everything went up and some prices shot up. Some went down, some stayed up. Now we have some herbs that are very expensive that weren’t before. Ren Shen (ginseng) had always been relatively high and is now more so. Jin Yin Hua and Ban Xia and other standard herbs are surprisingly high.
SO: We are considering creating formulas with alternatives to keep prices down. The most obvious is using Dang Shen instead of Ren Shen while offering Ren Shen formulas at a higher price. For many people, I doubt they would notice or even benefit from the change.
Thank you for reading and your business.
*We’ve always made little or no profit on shipping. For those that order more than 5 bottles and require 2 envelopes or a box, we have also paid for that with no extra charge. Yes, there may be cheaper ways but they all require special services like weight and/or trips to UPS or FedEX. Special handling is more prone to mistakes and stocking more types of boxes. As it is now, we can just the same mailer for everything. And with few exceptions, USPS priority is the quickest.
