Kudzu root in this formula helps to regulate the intestinal functions and hydrate the body. Alcohol consumption tends to dry out the body, not to mention wreak havoc on your digestive system.

Using kudzu root “the day after”, you’ll find it’s benefits include hydration. In Chinese medicine, we use it to “generate fluids” which is a great idea after the increased urinary output associated with drinking alcohol.
Kudzu root is also used for loose stools. Sometimes a night of drinking includes a night of overeating. In this case, we got you covered on both ends.
Ju Hua 菊花 chrysanthemum flower Flos Chrysanthemi Morifolii
Mum flowers are used in China to “clear heat from the Liver”. In this case, the application is actually applied to red, bloodshot eyes. The Chinese concept of the Liver says that it is attached to the eyes. So, cooling the Liver will take the red out of your eyes.
Hu Zhang 虎杖 bushy knotweed rhizome, giant knotweed Polygoni cuspidati Rhizoma [don’t use if pregnant ]
This is the famous herb that is being used to produce the newest darling of the dietary supplement industry: “resveratrol”. We don’t claim that resveratrol is an important part of this formula, though I’m sure there’s some in there. Rather, this hu zhang (translates to “tiger cane”) is used to help your liver spring back to life after working hard all night.
Ge Hua 葛花 kudzu flower, pueraria Flos Puerariae
This is Kudzu flower. Because flowers are thought to be light and dispersing, this herb is said to disperse alcohol toxins out from the body through a light sweat.
The BBC web-site recently ran an article about Kudzu. Lets be clear that Eagleherbs doesn’t endorse anything other than total responsible drinking. For many, this can mean not drinking at all.

When our volunteers partied after having had a placebo they drank an average of seven units per person. When, however, they had taken the kudzu beforehand, they drank an average of 5.5 units, which meant that overall they had drunk about 20% less.
None of them had noticed any side effects from the kudzu, indeed none of them were aware when they had taken it.

Adult Dosage
DOSAGE: Eagle Herbs is now supplying a 2 gram “little spoon”. (Please wash and dry before using.) An “average dose” is 10 grams per day of the granules. This means 5 “little spoons” or 20 capsules each day. Each capsule is 1/2 gram. A Big Dosage for Short-lived but intense issues: 3 little spoons (12 capsules) twice a day. A Smaller Dosage for Lingering low-grade concerns: 2 little spoons (8 capsules) twice a day.
