Ingredients

Yi Yi Ren 薏苡仁 coix seeds, Job’s tears Semen Coicis Lachrymae Jobi [don’t use if pregnant]

• This yi yi ren is one of those healing herbs that also serve as a common food. Used alone, this herb is a decent hot cereal. In this formula however, it is used to support the structural integrity of the large intestine such as might be beneficial for hemorrhoids or other problems in the anus where there is blood in the stools. The herb is also used to detoxify the local structures.

Mu Dan Pi 牡丹皮 moutan root bark, tree peony root bark Cortex Moutan Radicis

• This herb “cools the blood”. When blood gets hot, it can “boil out of its container” leading to anal bleeding.

Tao Ren 桃仁 peach kernel, persica Persicae Semen [don’t use if pregnant]

• This herb supports the functions of Mu Dan Pi above in that it promotes the proper circulation of blood (by keeping it in the vessels.)

Dong Gua Zi 冬瓜子 winter melon seed, wax gourd seed, benincasa Benincasae Semen

• This herb supports the detoxification functions of yi yi ren above. This herb too is somewhat gentle, being edible as a food, however teamed up with yi yi ren, they can have a great action to help with support of healthy intestines and firm poops.

This formula can be used to support health with or without symptoms. If symptoms are present, take 1 level teaspoon of the powder (8 capsules) three times daily.
