This is an Eagleherbs varitation on Long Dan Xie Gan Tang. Long Dan Xie Gan Tang over the past decades has been restricted to short term use. I couldn't buy it at an herbal pharmacy in Beijing in 2005 for example. Very cold formulas tend to damage the stomach over time but usually this is seen by the patient in their symptoms. With Long Dan Cao the damage is quicker and more insidious for the liver. Thats why we try to only use for a week at a time. So we, Eagleherbs, have made this No Long Dan Long Dan Xie Gan Tang where we substitute a little Huang Lian for the Long Dan Cao. Users should still be careful that they don't overdue it.
