Ingredients

Sheng Jiang 生薑 fresh ginger rhizome Zingiberis Rhizoma

Cong Bai 蔥白 scallion, green onion, spring onion Bulbus Allii Fistulosi

• These two herbs have a “head opening” effect. Raw ginger and green onion are often found in one’s kitchen. They make a good first-defense when you feel like you’re coming down with a cold too.

Chuan Xiong 川芎 Sichuan lovage root, cnidium, chuanxiong root Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong

Chi Shao 赤芍 red peony root Radix Peoniae Rubrae

Tao Ren 桃仁 peach kernel, persica Persicae Semen [don’t use if pregnant]

Hong Hua 紅花 safflower flower, carthamus Carthami Flos [don’t use if pregnant]

• These four herbs all support blood flow. Chuan xiong in particular has an affinity for the head and is added to most, if not all, headache formulas.

• Da zao is a sweet herb that softens any harsh properties of the other herbs.

This formula can be used to support health with or without symptoms. If symptoms are present, take 1 level teaspoon of the powder (8 capsules) three times daily.
