Ingredients

Dang Shen 党参 Codonopsis

Bai Zhu 白术 , bai shu ovate atractylodes, (white) atractylodes rhizome [supports pregnancy]

Fu Ling 茯苓 sclerotium of tuckahoe, China root, hoelen, Indian bread Poria Cocos

Gan Cao 甘草 licorice root Radix Glycyrrhizae [caution]

This is a primary formula for digestive problems due to deficiency. More often I like to use Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Tang which helps the digestion even more. This formula is for “weak” digestion. If there is overeating and bloating issues then I would suggest Bao He Wan in conjunction with this Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi.  Note that we have recently substituted Dang Shen for Ren Shen as using Ren Shen is unsustainable economically.  In addition, I find that many of those with weak digestion better tolerate Dang Shen.
