For Ma Huang we substitute: Zi Su Ye 紫蘇葉 Folium Perillae Frutescentis

and Xuan Fu Hua

Gui Zhi 桂枝 (Saigon) cinnamon twig, cassia twig Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae

Gan Cao 甘草 licorice root Radix Glycyrrhizae [caution]

Bai Shao 白芍 white peony root, peony Paeoniae Radix alba [supports pregnancy]

Ban Xia 半夏 pinellia rhizome, pinellia tuber Rhizoma Pinelliae Ternatae [supports pregnancy]

Gan Jiang 乾姜 dried ginger rhizome Zingiberis Rhizoma [use caution if pregnant]

For Xi Xin we substitute: Bai Zhi (Angelica Rx)

Wu Wei Zi 五味子 schisandra fruit Schizandrae Fructus
