About this formula

Also known as: HJT148-5.

This is a simple and well balanced formula. In Chinese terms, Huang Qi (Astragalus) boosts the Qi (and therefore the blood), E Jiao (Colla Coriiasini) enriches the blood, Shan Zha (Fructus Crataegi) helps the digestion and Da Zao (Fructus Jujube) tonifies the Stomach and Spleen functions.

Astragalus- Huang Qi

Huang Qi raises the Spleen Qi which in turn helps make the blood.

Ingredients:

  • Huang Qi 黃蓍 astragalus root, milkvetch root, Astragali Radix
  • Shan Zha 山楂 crataegus fruit, hawthorn fruit Crataegi Fructus
  • Da Zao 大棗 jujube, Chinese date Jujubae Fructus
  • E Jiao 阿膠 ass-hide glue, donkey-hide gelatin, a jiao, gelatin Asini Corii Colla

Adult Dosage

This formula can be used to support health with or without symptoms. If symptoms are present, take 2 level teaspoon of the powder (or 4 capsules) three times daily. When symptoms are not present, take 1 level teaspoon (or 2 capsules), two times daily. An empty stomach is best for efficient absorption, but not essential. [More…]
