Description

This is a powder (and capsule) version of a formula I have used successfully for patients for crying for no reason and/or crying for good reason. It helps to calm and to help with sleep. It is a nice blend of two important formulas: Gan Mai Da Zao Tang and Suan Zao Ren Tang.

In Chinese Medicine terms, Gan Mai Da Zao Tang is used for deficient heart “qi” and “blood“. The spirit then “floats” causing agitation and is unstable. It has been used for hundreds of years for menopausal symptoms, anxiety and sleepwalking.

Suan Zao Ren Tang is a classic formula for insomnia as well as anxiety with symptoms such as heart palpitations and night sweating.

• Suan Zao Ren 酸棗仁 sour jujube seed; zizyphus Semen Zizyphi Spinosae [use caution if pregnant]
• Chuan Xiong 川芎 Sichuan lovage root, cnidium, chuanxiong root Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong
• Zhi Mu 知母 anemarrhena rhizome Rhizoma Anemarrhenae Asphodeloidis
• Fu Ling 茯苓 sclerotium of tuckahoe, China root, hoelen, Indian bread Poria Cocos
• Gan Cao 甘草 licorice root Radix Glycyrrhizae [caution]
• Xiao Mai 浮小麥 light wheat grain Tritici Fructus Levi
• Da Zao 大棗 jujube, Chinese date Jujubae Fructus

• DOSAGE:
  Eagle Herbs is now supplying a 2 gram “little spoon”. (Please wash and dry before using.)
  An “average dose” is 10 grams per day of the granules. This means 5 “little spoons” or 20 capsules each day. Each capsule is 1/2 gram. 
  A Big Dosage for Short-lived but intense issues: 3 little spoons (12 capsules) twice a day.
  A Smaller Dosage for Lingering low-grade concerns: 2 little spoons (8 capsules) twice a day. 
  If you are very sensitive to medicines: start out low (1/2 little spoon or 2 capsules) once per day, and raise the dosage each day.
  We find that people find the right dosage for themselves. We don’t know your body weight, your sensitivity etc… So take what feels good for you and you get the results you are looking for. Many people get great results with taking less.
