Description

Details of Taishan Bedrock Powder

Sha Ren is a famous anti-nausea herb that supports a full-term pregnancy.

Alternative Names

  • Great Mountain Bedrock Powder
  • Tai Shan Pan Shi San
  • Powder that Gives the Stability of Mount Tai

About this formula: the mention of the “Tai Shan”, or “great mountain” is an image of stability in Chinese culture like the “Rock of Gibraltar” is used by a financial services firm to promote stability.

“Instability” is how Chinese medicine refers to a tendency toward miscarriages. Those who benefit the most from this formula are fatigued and weak as a rule. There may be a pale complexion and lack of appetite as well.

Ingredients

Ren Shen 人蔘 ginseng root Radix Panax Ginseng made from real ginseng

Huang Qi 黃耆 astragalus root, milk-vetch root, milkvetch root Astragali Radix

Bai Zhu 白术 bai shu ovate atractylodes, Rhizoma Atractylodes Macrocephala

Zhi Gan Cao 炙甘草 licorice root Radix Glycyrrhizae prep. [caution]

  • The above four herbs are commonly used to improve the efficiency of the digestion and respiration. This supports the qi of the body or all of the functions of the internal organs.

Dang Gui 當歸 tangkuei, Chinese angelica root Radix Angelicae Sinensis [supports pregnancy]

Chuan Xiong 川芎 Sichuan lovage root, cnidium, chuanxiong root Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong

Bai Shao 白芍 white peony root, peony Paeoniae Radix alba [supports pregnancy]

Shu Di Huang 熟地黄 cooked rehmannia root, prepared Chinese foxglove root Rehmanniae Radix preparata [supports pregnancy]

  • The four herbs listed above all belong to the core blood-promoting formula in Chinese medicine called Tang-kuei Four Combination (Si Wu Tang). This is a delicous formula that we promote as a coffee substitute here at Eagle Herbs called Four Miracle Brew. There is nothing in this formula that will cause one to stay awake as may be the case with coffee. However, these blood promoting herbs could give you more endurance rather than too much energy.

Xu Duan續斷 Japanese teasel root; dipsacus Radix Dipsaci Asperi [supports pregnancy]

Huang Qin 黃苓 baical skullcap root, scutellaria, scute Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis [supports pregnancy]

  • The two herbs listed above are both good at supporting a full-term pregnancy. As is the case with much of Chinese medicine, using these herbs in women with a tendency toward miscarriage is a time-tested observation that has been used by Chinese herbalists since the mid-1500s when records of this formula first appeared.
  • Xu Duan translates to “connect what is broken” and is often used to help with the healing of broken bones. It also supports the lower back which is necessary if you’re carrying a baby in your abdomen. Huang Qin is also commonly used in support of a full-term pregnancy. It is also said to “calm the fetus”. When there is an accumulation of internal heat in the body, it can cause excessive fetal kicking or movement in the same way that a fever can cause restlessness and irritability in an adult.

Sha Ren 砂仁 amomum fruit, grains-of-paradise fruit Fructus Amomi

  • This is another herb known to “calm the fetus” and support full-term pregnancy. It also harmonizes the digestion. Basically, this is an anti-nausea herb that also helps the stomach digest some of the heavier herbs in this formula (mostly in that blood-building portion of the formula). Those herbs are heavier, sticker, more moistening. So they can cause a tummy ache in those with weak digestion. This herb helps to prevent that side-effect.

Adult Dosage
  • DOSAGE:
Eagle Herbs is now supplying a 2 gram “little spoon”. (Please wash and dry before using.)
An “average dose” is 10 grams per day of the granules. This means 5 “little spoons” or 20 capsules each day. Each capsule is 1/2 gram.
A Big Dosage for Short-lived but intense issues: 3 little spoons (12 capsules) twice a day.
A Smaller Dosage for Lingering low-grade concerns: 2 little spoons (8 capsules) twice a day.
If you are very sensitive to medicines: start out low (1/2 little spoon or 2 capsules) once per day, and raise the dosage each day.
We find that people find the right dosage for themselves. We don’t know your body weight, your sensitivity etc… So take what feels good for you and you get the results you are looking for. Many people get great results with taking less.

At this dosage, your order will last (very) approximately this long (?):

  • 50 grams powder or 100 capsules: 4 to 14 days.
  • 100 grams powder or 200 capsules: 8 to 28 days
  • 200 grams powder or 400 capsules: 19 to 56 days
